I first came across this word when i was watching a film called CONTACT. Its based on a Sci-Fi Novel by Carl Sagan(American Astronomer). Its a nice film, which has a completely different view about extraterrestrial beings and how they contact earthlings.
Occam's Razor is often described as "All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best."(source: Wikipedia) if you want to explain something, choose the simplest way. Don't confuse your readers by just giving some high-end technical terms, instead just make it simple. The more you make it simple, the more your listeners will understand.

Occam's razor is a powerful idea. In fact those idiotic christian & muslim fundamentalists in the US and Turkey need to be educated of the fact that the world wasnt created in 5 freakin days!! The simplest answer is "Evolution" dummasses!!
